Our Story
Where it all began
Esica’s Pet Spa is more than just a name; it embodies the partnership between Erika and Jessica, born from their shared love for animals and the belief that every dog deserves exceptional pet care services. Our journey began on October 6th, 2021, when we started our long-distance adventure, which eventually blossomed into a life built side-by-side. This collaboration led to our marriage on June 10th, 2026, as well as a dedicated mission to provide dog grooming and support for rescue dog fostering, ensuring that all animals receive the patience and understanding they truly deserve.
A Home Full of Tails
What started with adopting our first dog together quickly blossomed into something much larger. Through our experience with East Texas Hoof & Paw, now known as Tails In Transit, we uncovered the world of rescue and the significant need for foster homes. This journey led us to fostering and helping rescue dogs find safety, love, and eventually their forever families. As we embraced our role in pet care services, our own family expanded from two dogs to six: Jake the Long Haired German Shepherd, Evie the Husky Heeler Mix, Jamie the Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix, Abby and Stella the German Shepherd Mixes, and lastly Maya, the Shar Pei Mix. Throughout our foster journey, we had the privilege of finding loving forever homes for dogs like Ghost the Husky, Jaws the Dutch Shepherd, Nessie the German Shepherd, and Angel the German Shepherd. Each chapter was bittersweet, but every dog left a lasting paw print on our hearts, teaching us valuable lessons about patience, trust, resilience, and the importance of meeting every animal exactly where they are. As we continued to support rescue efforts, we also made sure our dogs received quality care, including professional dog grooming at Esica's Pet Spa, ensuring they looked and felt their best.
The Dog Who Changed Everything
My journey into professional dog grooming began with Jake, our long-haired German Shepherd. Jake was a dog who needed more than just a haircut—he needed understanding. His anxiety around grooming environments, sensitivity to height, need for breaks, and patience throughout the process showed me that grooming is not just about appearance; it is about communication, trust, and making dogs feel safe. I began grooming Jake at home because I knew his needs better than anyone. The only part I wasn’t confident with was nail care, which led me into Esica's Pet Spa, where my passion for pet care services quickly became recognized. My experience has also inspired me to consider rescue dog fostering, as I believe all dogs deserve the best care.
Becoming the Groomer Behind Esica’s
Since then, I have dedicated myself to perfecting my craft in dog grooming through continued education in both grooming techniques and canine behavior. My experience extends beyond the grooming table; I have learned from living in a six-dog household and working alongside rescue dog fostering, which has helped me understand difficult behaviors and see firsthand the many reasons dogs may struggle in traditional grooming environments. These invaluable experiences have shaped the foundation of Esica's Pet Spa: a welcoming place where dogs are not rushed, overlooked, or treated as just another appointment. Every dog has a story, and my goal is to provide exceptional pet care services built on trust, patience, and respect.

Esica's Pet Spa was established to encompass everything I've learned throughout my journey: the love of a pet parent, the compassion of rescue dog fostering, the skill of a professional groomer, and the understanding that each dog deserves to be recognized as an individual. This is more than just a dog grooming salon; it is a promise to every dog and family who enters our doors—that they will always be met with kindness, patience, and genuine care through our pet care services.
